Despite being unable to operate a station inside China, FEBC recently celebrated 76 years of reaching the country with the Gospel. Churches in China are closely monitored, and access to Christian resources is tightly controlled, but FEBC continues to find creative ways to keep the message of Jesus alive. We’re proud to share some listener testimonies from China. However, since sharing one’s faith publicly can lead to persecution, all sources will remain anonymous.
Staying Close to the Listener From Afar
Broadcasting from the Philippines, FEBC manages to stay close to Chinese listeners by involving them directly in programming. To celebrate the 76th anniversary of FEBC Chinese Ministries, the team hosted a special program where listeners called in to share their testimonies, read Scripture, and pray for their country. The two-and-a-half-hour broadcast carried the theme Bear Much Fruit, something believers in China continue to do despite ongoing persecution.
These moments have become powerful reminders that Jesus is changing lives even as authorities work to silence the Gospel.
One single mother recently shared how she battled anxiety and depression after her divorce. Searching the Scriptures for help, she prayed and began listening to FEBC. In her seeking, she found hope and healing in Jesus.
Nothing Can Slow the Gospel
Because of persecution, FEBC Chinese Ministries must operate wisely and discreetly to protect its listeners. Recently, one caller was questioned by local authorities, a reminder of the risks many take just to engage with Christian content. Yet these challenges have not slowed the Gospel across China.
Another listener shared that she was often afraid at night, haunted by her fear of ghosts and darkness. She began reading the Psalms before bed, praying, and tuning in to FEBC’s programs. Over time, her fear gave way to peace and deep rest. Now she encourages others to choose faith in God over fear.
Testimonies like these have become one of FEBC’s most powerful evangelistic tools. Still, many believers in China long for deeper teaching and discipleship. To meet this need, FEBC Chinese Ministries developed a mobile app filled with biblical resources, including a new Gospel Pack designed to help listeners share their faith with others. Pastors and church leaders can also join FEBC’s online seminary, where courses like How to Grow Your Small Group equip them for ministry.
Strengthening a Communal Faith
A self-made Christian does not exist, especially in places where faith is restricted. In such environments, believers rely deeply on one another’s prayers, encouragement, and support. Recently, a senior high school student shared how they were struggling with severe depression and anxiety. Their church community rallied around them, and through prayer and resources from FEBC Chinese Ministries, they experienced healing and renewed faith.
God is not only using FEBC Chinese Ministries to change lives. He’s using bold believers across China to change their families and communities. One mother shared how FEBC’s Counseling Corner helped her reconcile with her son. Struggling with anger and control, she found conviction and repentance through Scripture shared by FEBC. Now her family is growing stronger and healthier together in Christ.
Though the Gospel cannot be freely broadcast from within China, it continues to travel across its borders to change lives and strengthen the Church. Despite China’s restrictions, FEBC will continue to find creative ways to make His voice known.
Because of your partnership and support, FEBC is able to continue sharing the Gospel with people who are desperate for hope – Thank you!
