Ruth’s Ministry in Indonesia

Ruth’s Mission: To reach families and communities through children. We share a living Gospel with them in very practical ways that will impact their lives, providing them the opportunity to accept the Christian worldview in Indonesia. We minister to over 100 children in the area.

Some listeners to FEBC programs ask us to visit them in their villages. Due to a lack of resources, however, we are not usually able to do this. Instead, we send them our radio programs on a Gospel Chip in their local language, which they can listen to on their smartphones or in a Gospel Box. These Bible-based messages benefit church planting programs and discipleship.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text]icon-50px-gospel-box-only[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

Lola leads our ministry team in this area, where they teach children and mothers to read and write, share Bible stories and role play those stories. The class meets twice a week for three hours. About 75 children and 30 mothers join this class. After class, they receive a snack and then return to a garbage dumpsite to look for food or retrieve garbage that can be re-sold at a recycling center. Sometimes they find expired milk or expired canned food, which they take home to eat. Other times they retrieve rotten fruit or discarded food, which they re-cook and eat. Praise God, so far no one has died from food poisoning.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]*name changed to protect identity[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
