Current Campaign: 2 New Stations in Ukraine!
Suddenly there was a radio station where, before, there had been silence.
Word traveled fast because the new station was very different. The broadcasters were Ukrainian speaking the Ukrainian language. Their voices were kind and filled with hope and joy. They shared the Good News about Jesus along with biblical advice on building strong marriages, raising children to make good choices, and solutions for overcoming addiction and despair.
Every time we’ve launched a radio station in Ukraine, this is exactly what has happened.
Today I’m thrilled to tell you we have the chance to launch not just one . . . but TWO new radio stations in Ukraine!
These stations will reach places that have never had a strong Gospel witness on the radio. With your help, soon over 100,000 people in the cities of Mariinka and Pokrovsk will begin to hear about the Good News on the radio in their homes, cars, and buses.
Will you help us take advantage of the opportunity God is giving us? Your gift today will move us closer to the $94,000 it will take to get these new stations on the air.
These two stations are strategically located. Mariinka is in the news daily because of armed conflict with nearby separatists. Many refugees are fleeing to Pokrovsk to escape the violence. And in both cities people are desperate for hope . . . which we can give them!
And as soon as these two new stations go on the air, we anticipate God using them to change lives, like Dmytro,* a young Ukrainian man who recently called in and told us how God had used FEBC to transform his life. One day Dmytro was riding on a bus that was playing an
FEBC program over the loudspeaker, but he wasn’t really listening. Instead, he was contemplating suicide. “I was desperate for hope,” he says. “I wanted to kill myself.”
That’s when Dmytro heard the FEBC broadcaster say, “Your body doesn’t belong to you. It belongs to God.”
Jolted from his suicide plan, Dmytro knew instantly that God loved him and did not want him to die. “I felt God talking to me directly,” he says. “I came back from this experience and talked to my family and shared what was going on in my life.”
There are countless people just like Dmytro all over Ukraine, and nearly everyone listens to the radio. With your help today, they will soon hear the best news in the world.
Please give generously now to raise the $94,000 needed to launch two new stations in Ukraine that will reach another 100,000 listeners!
