A new radio station is set to go on air in March in Sainshand City, Mongolia. It will be the 9th radio station in the country and will be aired on 106.5 FM in the city of 23,000. Over 287 miles from the capital of Ulaanbaatar, this station will reach people, who until now have not had access to our broadcasts. In addition to this station, another station in Nalaih city was launched in September of 2015 which will minster to over 10,000 families in the area when it airs in March of this year.
Mongolia is the most sparsely populated country in the world with only 2 people for each square kilometer. While 1/3rd of the country lives in the quickly growing capital of Ulaanbaatar, the rest of the country is nomadic, moving their homes where it bests suits their herds of animals to graze. As a result, FEBC Mongolia has had to continue to install stations across the country to reach these nomads, who have limited access to the Gospel.
