2016 marks the 26th year of broadcasting the Gaweylon Tibetan Radio Program, which ministers to the Tibetan people living in southwest China, northern India and Bhutan. While feedback is often hard to get from listeners, recently the staff have received messages from many people thanking them for their work and for the impact it has had on their lives.
Here are some of the listener responses that were received recently:
Tsetan is a businessman from Bhutan. He has been helping us distribute our resources in Bhutan. He recently called to say, “Thank you for the resources that you sent me. I am always happy to distribute them in my area. Your calendar is useful and appreciated by the people. The health literature and CD’s help in improving their lives as well. Thank you for all that you do for our people.”
Tenzin is a nurse at a large Tibetan camp in Central India with a heart to improve the health of people in her camp. “I have been away on official work for some time so I have not been able to write to you,” she said. “I have distributed the literature and CD’s that you sent me to people in my camp. The calendar you sent is very useful, well designed, and very much appreciated by the people.”
Ajeet lives in a large Tibetan camp in South India. The Tibetan settlements in South India are the largest in this country. He has been in touch with us for many years and has helped distribute our resources in a large area. “I have distributed the calendars, literature and CDs to the people in camps and Monasteries nearby. I shall be happy to distribute more resources in my area in the future also,” he said.
We are so thankful to hear responses like these which are an answer to prayer!
