Christmas in Kyrgyzstan

On December 14th, FEBC received an FM frequency (87.5) for Naryn, Kyrgyzstan. Less than a week later, FEBC Kyrgyzstan director Janysh, started the 4-hour ride by horse in -10 degree weather to scout the location and begin initial planning. There is a lot of work to be done and a lot of funds to be raised, but if all goes well, we hope to launch sometime in late spring or early summer of 2019. Please pray that Janysh stays safe and warm on the long ride back down!

FEBC Japan will air a special Christmas Worship program on Sunday, December 23rd. Leading Old Testament scholar, Rev. Tom Sacon, will preach on the “Mystery of His Incarnation” referring to a work of Mr. Kazuo Ishiguro, who was born in Japan, and won the Nobel Prize in Literature last year.

Also, FEBC Japan will air Christmas hymn programs. From very popular Christmas Hymnal songs to classical Gregorian chants, all to celebrate the Nativity through praise and worship.

FEBC Japan director, Takanori Nagakura, writes “We are so glad we can worship Him with our listeners via our radio and the Internet programs, especially those who cannot go to church for various reasons. We are glad you and your faithful supporters always remember our ministry in your prayers!”
