Administrator, FEBC International Ministries
“I’ve been a part of the FEBC ministry for more than 24 years. I love it now more than ever. I’m proud and privileged to be a part of a ministry that is so effective and so well respected. I am blessed because wherever I travel, I am met with kindness and grace because of FEBC’s long standing reputation of integrity.”
Since early childhood, the life of Jonathan Mortiz revolved around ministry and music. He grew up in a singing family where he was taught to serve and be a minister of the Lord at an early age.
In 1987 after finishing school at a local Bible college, Jonathan was hired as an announcer for FEBC’s radio station DZAS in the Philippines. In 1993 he with his new family moved to become the director and announcer of FEBC Saipan for the Filipino Ministries. By 1995 he was called back to the Philippines to head its music ministry called “Papuri”, which means “Praise”, and pioneer the production of Original Pilipino Christian music. By 1997 with a growing young family, God called Jonathan to relocate to Southern California where he accepted the position as FEBC’s liaison to Filipino-Americans in the United States.
Currently, he serves as FEBC’s Administrator of International Ministries and enjoys serving FEBC national ministries as they grow. In his spare time he still is the announcer and co-host for a program that airs on FEBC Philippines every Saturday and Sunday. He also conducts worship seminars. This is his way of serving the local church and introducing them to the ministry of FEBC.
Jonathan finished his BS in Biblical Studies at Bethel College in the Philippines and his MA in Organizational Leadership at Biola University in Southern California. Jonathan also serves as the worship pastor at Woodbridge Church in Irvine, California. He and his wife, Noralynn have three children, Zak, Keziah, and Keren.
