PRAY FOR THE FIRST GENERATION CHURCH
PRAYER TARGET: MARCH 2018
A Letter from the FEBC President
“I urge you, brothers, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to join me in my struggle by praying to God for me.” (Romans 15:30)
Paul knew what it meant to struggle to bring the Good News of the Gospel to those who had never heard it. No matter what hardships he faced, whether it was a shipwreck, beatings, or imprisonment, Paul continued to press on to accomplish his mission.
And again and again, Paul turned to the people of God, urgently requesting their continued prayers. Experience had taught him that powerful things happen when God’s people pray on behalf of others.
In his letter to believers in Rome, Paul requests that they join him, not by departing their homes, giving up their jobs, or leaving friends and family behind, but by praying for him.
Prayer allows everyone in the family of God to join in the mission and the struggle of bringing the Good News to others. Let’s allow the love poured out by the Spirit of God to inspire us to continue praying for our brothers and sisters, bringing the gift of the Gospel to those who have yet to hear.
Until all have heard,
