Amplifying the Gospel

In 1948, we launched a radio station in the Philippines with a simple belief: the best innovation should be leveraged for the Great Commission.

Communities across the world came to Jesus when they finally heard the Gospel in their heart language. More than 80 years later, lives continue to change every day.

WHY RADIO?

Despite technological advances, radio remains an effective tool because it can reach the most remote and low-income communities worldwide, often going where the internet, cellphones, and missionaries can’t.

The radio allows us to stay close to the listener because it’s:

LIVE | LOCAL | PERSONAL | AFFORDABLE | SIMPLE TO USE

MAKING THE GOSPEL MORE ACCESSIBLE

Local FEBC teams distribute radios directly to communities within their listening area. Since many remote villages lack basic infrastructure, we provide people with wind-up, solar, and battery-powered radios that don’t rely on the internet or power.

Radio also allows us to reach countries hostile to the Gospel without endangering our team or listeners. In countries like North Korea, AM radio broadcasts are harder to detect and block than the internet.

152 HEART LANGUAGES

A message is more likely to move your heart when received from someone who shares your language and culture. That’s why all 260 FEBC radio stations are hosted by Christians who live in the communities they serve.

DAILY FEBC BROADCASTERS TOUCH FOUR CONTINENTS AND FIFTY COUNTRIES

Listeners can hear the Gospel in real time, call in, and build relationships with a trusted voice. For many listeners, that voice is the first Christian they’ve met.

GROWING THE REACH OF THE GOSPEL

From our founding, we’ve embraced emerging technology to share the hope of Jesus with the world. Radio is just one of our many tools, and it’s still effective today.

As internet and smartphone access increase globally, we’re leveraging all available technology to spread the Gospel.
