Pig Project in Indonesia

• Print
• E-Mail

MANY INDONESIAN LISTENERS STRUGGLE to keep food on the table. In one area of the country we developed the Pig Project, where 2 pigs (male and female) are loaned to a poor village.

Once a new litter is born, villagers return 2 pigs to the ministry, which allows the project to continue in other communities. This kind of program, which involves the entire village, helps people learn how to raise pigs. It also produces food, income, and a sense of self-sufficiency for the villagers, who take pride in their efforts to earn their own way.

Pastor Expresses Thanks

"As a YASKI (FEBC-Indonesia) listener, I have been blessed. I live in a remote area and minister to a congregation with limited provisions. I wrote a letter describing the condition of my ministry. To my surprise, Heartline FM sent me funds to purchase and raise chickens and pigs.

Now, 2 years later, we live only from the results of raising chickens and pigs, and we have even been able to send our children to school and buy clothes and other necessities! Thank you for your attention. Please, keep supporting us in your prayers."

FEBC-Indonesia also offers a mother/infant health program, which teaches mothers how to take care of themselves and their babies. This includes check-ups, vitamins, and immunizations. These projects demonstrate a caring, Christ-like attitude towards our listeners and those living near our station.
