AN UNUSUAL TEXT MESSAGE arrived in Feba’s Middle Eastern office, FEBC’s sister organization broadcasting to Africa, the Middle East, and India:  “I ask that God will help me understand the message of Christ because I had a dream about Jesus. As a result, I completely believe in Him. The only thing missing is knowledge about Him.”
As soon as the message was received a Feba staff member quickly responded with a phone call. This is what he discovered:
Balkees* is 17 years old and the oldest child in her family of 9. Her entire family has been listening to Feba broadcasts since 2004. Balkees doesn’t attend school because it is too far from her villages.
Recently Christ appeared to her in a dream. He spoke to her and gave her advice. She also saw Daniel in the dream. When she was much younger Balkees had seen the JESUS film. All her information about Christianity comes from Feba’s broadcasts.
“I would like to know more about Christ and Christianity, “she said on the phone. She also asked if we could send her a Bible, “but please,” she added, “be careful when you deliver it. Please hide it so no one will know what it is.”
We were so excited to get her text message - partly because we don't often hear from female listeners in the Middle East and because of the remarkable way in which this young woman was visited by Jesus. * name has been changed
