Persecuted Listeners Share Their Stories

THE CHRISTIAN CHURCH IS GROWING like never before, with 70,000 new believers entering the Kingdom each day. While this is excellent news, there is much opposition.

Frequent, violent persecution against those who profess Christ as their Savior happens every day. As the Body of Christ, we must support and pray for our brothers and sisters around the world who suffer because of their allegiance to the Lord.

The stories of those who suffer because of their faith not only speak of pain and suffering, but also joy, peace, and the grace of God. To catch a glimpse into their lives and the turmoil they face on a daily basis, please take a moment to read just a few of the many letters we receive at FEBC.

"I listen to your broadcast every day.

I am just a simple woman but I hope that this letter will reach you. I want you to pray for us. Some areas the government does not allow Christians to worship God together.

They say we have 2 choices: 1. go back to the old way and worship evil spirits, or 2. be put to death.

But we know that even if the government wants to force us to believe in our old ways, we won’t back out on Christ. The penalties seem harsh such as jail, fines, imprisonment, and even death. But we will never turn away from Christ. Please pray for us that we will never leave our faith.

Pray that we will continue our way of life and that we can continue to praise the Lord. We thank God that He has led us this far. Thank you." - Mr. F. (Laos)

"Many of our Hmong have been saved

through the FEBC broadcastb that we listen to daily! Despite our numbers, we face a lot of persecution from the local government. Officials have forced many believers to turn back and continue to worship evil spirits, while many others have faced harsher penalties or prison. Many have run to the jungles and have never come back.

Please pray for us! We don’t know how much longer we will be here. There is much turmoil up the road, but we pray that the Lord will keep us safe. The government sees us as enemies. They say that we are agents of the U.S. We know, however, that despite what officials will do to us, we will continue to praise His name. Please pray that we will win this fight. Our only hope i"s your message through the radio. It seems there is no hope in life; our best hope is in Christ. " - Mr. Y (Vietnam)
