I ask God to help me...

THROUGH A FRIEND I heard about Christianity and I had a chance to read the Bible. My friend moved away and I lost the opportunity to continue reading the Bible. That was before the tsunami struck southern Thailand.

After the tsunami, your team came to our village and that is when I heard about Jesus and about the Bible again. One of your team members came to our village again and again.

I finally decided to follow Jesus and I gave my verbal commitment to follow Jesus.

After the tsunami, God gave me many opportunities to meet people from FEBC. I learned more and more about God and the Bible.

Whenever I'm faced with problems and difficulties,I ask God to help me and He is always there. Many times He's shown me His kindness and I’m trusting Him more and more.

Before the tsunami, I had a fishing boat of my own but I lost it when the tsunami devastated our village. After I made my commitment to follow Jesus, I no longer gave offerings to the spirits.

In the past, before we went out to sea we always had to give offerings to the spirits to protect us and help us get a good catch. No matter what, I decided not to do these offerings anymore, because God is my protector and my savior and I will not trust in anyone other than Jesus.
