Tuesday - 1 While on a trip to Moscow, Rudi Wiens, director of Russian Ministries, met a young pastor who expressed his gratefulness for FEBC's ministry: "You're leading people into our churches, and that's exactly what you should be doing, because we desperately need help. In our church we have seven new members who came to know Christ through FEBC radio. Thank you for giving us a voice." - Praise God for using radio so effectively to grow His Church in Russia!

Wednesday - 2 Many Russian listeners are surprised to learn that the radio hosts really care about them. Rudi Wiens says, "I've discovered one thing remains constant: people yearn for heart-to-heart conversations. They want to talk to a real person who is interested in them. Radio is much the same. It is effective when the listener feels as if the broadcaster is personally talking to them." Pray that God will continue to develop this quality of compassion in broadcasters who have the ability to influence countless others for Christ.

Thursday - 3 Igor was a strong atheist when he began listening to an FEBC program in Russia. He called in several times, arguing with the hosts. They took him seriously as they listened to his arguments, and even laughed with him as they discussed topics close to his heart. Praise God that Igor finally accepted Jesus as his Savior! He said, "Thank you for treating me as a real person, for understanding me, for seeing through the barriers I established for myself."

Friday - 4 Cliff McArdle asks that we pray for FEBC-Korea's Children's Choir, which will be ministering in music this month at different venues in Birmingham and Montgomery, Alabama, and in Atlanta, Georgia. Pray that God will keep the children and their chaperones safe while they are traveling, and that He will use them to touch many hearts and to raise awareness of FEBC.

Saturday - 5 FEBC-Korea asks that we pray for their team leaders in Seoul as they meet to set goals and concentrate on developing plans for the coming year. Pray God will give them great wisdom as they seek ways to be more effective in supporting the ministry.

Sunday - 6 "God has blessed and encouraged my heart through FEBC. In the past I was a sinner and did not care about God. One day, my Christian neighbors introduced me to FEBC... I took the time to listen to what the Lord had to offer through the programs. Now I am a regular listener... I have found new life in Christ... and know what real happiness is and how it feels to be loved by someone. I joined a church and the choir. Thank you FEBC and thank you Lord for your blessings. - Praise from Korea

Monday - 7 Pray for FEBC-Korea's "Youth Science Seminar," which will be held this month at the Mokpo Juan Presbyterian Church. Please pray that this seminar will help young people know God and that they will grow strong in their newfound faith.

Tuesday - 8 From FEBC-Korea staff: "We praise God that we have received the license and frequency for a new FM station in Busan, where the Christianity rate is relatively low. Please pray that He will provide for every need in establishing this new station, and that He will use it as effective tool in expanding His Kingdom and reaching many lost souls in the Busan and Kyeongnam areas".

Wednesday - 9 Pray for Keiko, director of FEBC-Japan, and for her dedicated team who mailed out 10,000 program schedules and other publications to churches and individuals last September. She asks for prayer so that "the materials will continue to draw the attention and interest of the recipients of our ministry work."

Thursday - 10 From Japan: "There are some Sundays when I'm available, but can't say to my family 'I'm going to church'. So here I am, not being able to attend even once. It's truly God's blessing that every day I can lis- ten to FEBC's program over the Internet. Through the broadcasts I learned that there are other people like me who can't go church, or who go secretly. I pray every day... I'm hoping that the day will come when I can go to church. Please pray that I will have enough courage to profess my faith to others."

Friday - 11 Praise God for the dedication of FEBC's minority language broadcasters, and for the way He uses broad- casts as a vehicle for planting new churches amongst unreached people groups. Pray that He will greatly bless the recently completed story set called Life of a Disciple, which was first aired in early October and is one of about 130 stories that have been developed for evangelism and discipleship in a tribal group of over 700,000 people.

Saturday - 12 Pray that many of this particular minority language people group will tune in to the new Life of a Disciple series, and that reception will be clear as the programs are broadcast from FEBC in Manila to China, Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar and Thailand. Pray also that these pro- grams will teach listeners how to grow stronger in their relationships, holy living, service, and ability to face persecution.

Sunday - 13 Praise God for this listener in Laos who recently wrote: "I listen to your program every day. I am trying to remember all your messages in my heart, so that they can be further lessons to other people--especially those in my church."

Monday - 14 Please pray for FEBC/Feba's International Conference, held in Worthing (UK) from January 15- 20. The meetings will be attended by representatives from stations and field offices all over the world, and will be an important and unique time of fellowship, decision-making, worship and prayer. Pray that God will bless and superintend the week's activities, and grant a deep sense of unity and community among the participants.

Tuesday - 15 Praise the Lord for Feba India's radio programs that offered words of comfort and practical safety advice during last year's flooding in north India. Feba's Deputy Director of India reports: "We broadcast some programs on how they could deal with floods, how to prevent illness, and safety measures. Our staff produced specific programs for people affected in that region, speaking about the care of God."

Wednesday - 16 Thank God for the fine variety of programs developed by Feba's Dari-language producers, who are based in different parts of the world. Pray that the producers will continue to keep abreast of changes inAfghanistan, and that the programs will be relevant to the listeners.

Thursday - 17 Please pray for the ministry and staff of FEBC-Mongolia, which is located in the capital of Ulaanbaatar and directed by Batjargal Tuvshintsengel, and for FEBC-Indonesia's team, headed up by Samuel Tirtamihardja in Jakarta.

Friday Ð 18 Please continue to pray for Feba's Middle Eastern listeners. One woman communicates daily asking some difficult questions: "What will I benefit from reading the Bible since the Quran has explained everything... God's only religion is Isam. Why don't you believe in God and Muhammad his last prophet? Jesus is a mere human. He spoke about the coming of Muhammad."Ask God to give Feba's producers and hosts His wisdom and discernment in responding to some very sensitive questions and issues.

Saturday - 19 Praise God that Feba's Baraka FM has recently been named as one of the top radio stations. Baraka, which means "Blessings" in Swahili, was the first Christian FM radio station in Mombasa, Kenya's second largest city. Pray for Baraka's producers, and for their wide variety of programs in Swahili and English, which include news, music, Bible teaching, human-interest stories, health and socio-political/governance issues.

Sunday - 20 Pray for FEBCambodia's director Samoeun Intal and her staff, especially as they continue to grapple with a reduced signal involving the coaxial cable and antenna. Pray that they will be able to come to a long-term solution to this problem. Praise the Lord that Samoeun's husband Robledo is well and strong and received a clean bill of health from a recent check-up.

Monday - 21 Praise from a pastor in Cambodia: "It's easy for me to share the Gospel with people in my community-- because they have already been 'prepared'by your radio programs!"

Tuesday Ð 22 City LIVE! a program being aired on FEBCambodia's Family FM every Friday, is the result of new efforts to bring the broadcast "closer to the audience." Program Manager Soksan is hoping to obtain a wireless phone line connection to facilitate live interviews at no cost. Please pray for a favorable response from the local telephone company. Pray also that the program will cause more people to tune in to the station.

Wednesday Ð 23 Praise God for a new interactive program that FEBC- Philippines began broadcasting last fall on DZAS in Manila. The 30-minute show, called RadioActive, is aired Saturday afternoons, and is designed to minister to teens living in poverty. Pray that God will cause the program to rapidly increase in popularity, and that He will use the format to teach Christian values to its teen- age audience.

Thursday Ð 24 Please pray for Em and Miriam Perez as they continue to work together to develop a new FEBC station in Santiago City, Philippines. Em, General Manager, and Miriam, Program Director, are in the process of training and preparing pastors and others to broadcast to the Cagayan Valley region in 4 different languages. Pray that God will bless their efforts and abundantly supply the resources needed to move this project forward in 2008.

Friday - 25 Pray for director Dan Cura and his staff as they flesh out plans for the celebration of FEBC-Philippines' 60th anniversary this June. Though much hard work, prayer and the grace of God, Christian Radio City Manila (CRCM) as it was originally known, was FEBC's first permanent site to air the gospel message daily. In reflecting on the scope of the radio ministry today, founder Dr. Robert Bowman has said, "God has done it all, country by country, and all through prayer."

Saturday - 26 Please pray for FEBC co-founder Bob Bowman and his wife Eleanor as they journey through this sunset season of their lives. Pray that God will uphold and surround them with His grace and peace, and that He will continue to bless them richly for their years of dedication and service.

Sunday - 27 Thank you for your prayers for FEBC's November board meeting. It was a fruitful time, and God blessed the proceedings with His wisdom and presence. Due to an illness in the family, Paul Anderson was not able to assume the chairmanship; please pray for Paul and his family. Praise God that Dr. Douglas Pennoyer, Dean of the School for Intercultural Studies at Biola, accepted the chair position, and also give thanks for two new board members, including Harold Sala, local and FEBC international broadcaster.

Monday - 28 Praise God that FEBC-Hong Kong received over 4,000 incoming listener letters for each month of 2007, which is a 20% increase over 2006! Also give thanks that the activity on Liangyou's Web site increased to over 4,400 hits per day last year. Pray for their preparation for their 50th anniversary celebration, and for their search for new ministry facilities.

Tuesday - 29 FEBC's Chinese Ministries reports some changes made in program production since last October. They ask we "pray that these various changes will not result in any audience loss. Pray also that God will bless the hard and dedicated work of our staff so that they might create programs for our beloved audience in China that are in accord with His good purpose."

Wednesday - 30 Early last summer FEBC-USA was blessed to have Luke and Carrie Cheng join the team at the La Mirada office. Luke is now Vice President for International Ministries, and Carrie isAdministrativeAssistant in Ministry Services. Praise the Lord for their joyful attitudes and commitment to FEBC and the expansion of His Kingdom. Pray that He will bless both their ministry and their family.

Thursday - 31 Currently, the FEBC home office in La Mirada and the Chinese Ministries' operation in Chino are collectively undergoing discussions to seek God's will and guidance for the future. Pray that He will clearly lead and make His will known to all those involved in making far-reaching decisions.
