Saturday - 1
Pray that God will use Feba's programs to both strengthen Christians and to shine His light into Iraq. As Feba's Middle East Development Director recently stated in Threshold magazine: "There are 22 million people in Iraq. Just because the world has given up on the country doesn't mean that God has! God is doing a great work in Iraq and many are coming to faith... we aim not only to speak Jesus' words of peace, but also to encourage Christians to be strong in the Lord while facing such difficulties. We want to show that Jesus' true followers don't give up on people."

Sunday - 2
"Please don't leave us! Especially as you know we have been threatened. The verse you quoted from the Bible was like a rescue message from Heaven--"Call upon me in the day of trouble and I will deliver you'" (Psalm 50:15). - From Feba listeners in the Middle East

Monday - 3
Continue to pray for Feba's fledging radio ministry to Iraq. They are currently broadcasting 1/2-hour shortwave blocks on the 3-day weekend, as well as 45 minutes daily on FM. The broadcasts include children's programs, Bible readings, practical wisdom on living out one's faith in the face of trials--and a program on maintaining a sense of humor. Pray for wisdom, creativity and discernment for the producers.

Tuesday - 4
Feba's director in Iraq comments: "This is the first time that we've been on FM in an Arabic country. Life is difficult for our team in Iraq. There is no clean water, no electricity and no medical care... along with living in constant fear of bombing, snipers, kidnapping and random acts of violence." Pray for the safety of Feba's team in Iraq and ask God to protect them and their families.

Wednesday - 5
Thank the Lord for protecting FEBC's workers in Yangoon, Myanmar (Burma) during the uprising last September. They wrote: "We trust that the Lord is in control and have faith in His plans for our life." They ask that we pray for their country, and especially for safety for their friends and family. Also pray for continued strong radio signals for FEBC broadcasts from the Philippines to Myanmar, and that these programs will meet the needs of the listeners.

Thursday - 6
Pray for the director of FEBC-Myanmar, who recently encountered some setbacks in his health. Pray for strength and wisdom as he leads the ministry work in this closed country.

Friday - 7
FEBC-Cambodia asks that we pray for God's continuing provisions to keep their broadcasts on the air. Also ask God to anoint their programs, which are broadcast daily from 5:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. A team member writes: "May they speak to the needs of listeners and bring them closer to the saving knowledge of God."

Saturday - 8
From Cambodia: "I like listening to the Bible Study program. Sometimes when I don't understand the message of the church, the program helps to explain things more clearly." Pray that through FEBC-Cambodia's broadcasts listeners will grow deeper in their faith and live in a way that will lead others to Christ as well.

Sunday - 9
Please pray that God will impart His comfort and peace to FEBC-Cambodia team member Ieng and his wife Sokvanna after the tragic death of their 3-year-old daughter in September. Ask Him to carry them in His everlasting arms and to bring them to a place of healing and hope as they grieve the loss of their only child.

Monday - 10
Praise the Lord for Shannon June Kittlitz, who recently joined Feba's Information and Communications team as senior writer. Pray that God will enable her to quickly assimilate all the details of her new job, and that He will greatly use her skills and experience in this new work He has given her.

Tuesday - 11
Praise from a listener to Feba's new Bangladesh programs House of Peace and Lighthouse: "I've been listening to your programs for a month, with a group of 5-6 people. Jesus will forever now be my Savior. I really like your programs. I tape them for my neighbors. I'm learning many things about Jesus; it's changing the way I live."

Wednesday - 12
Pray for plans being finalized this month for the FEBC/Feba International Conference the UK is hosting in mid-January. Feba's board chairman says "this will be an important time of decision-making, fellowship, prayer and rejoicing... keep us at the forefront of your prayers."

Thursday - 13
October 26th marked the half-year anniversary of FEBC Chinese Ministries' local US broadcast, aired on KAZN in Los Angeles. Thank God that the program, Voice of Friendship, has caught the interest of non-believers in LA... and that the program committee has decided to continue broadcasting. Please pray that God will provide for the costs needed for future efforts, and that He'll grant wisdom to Mei Ling, producer and host of the program.

Friday - 14
From a listener in China: "I'm concerned about the lack of Christian education for children in our churches. The future of the Church depends on whether young people are properly taught God's Word." Pray that God will use FEBC broadcasts to fill this gap with programming targeted to meet the needs of children in China.

Saturday - 15
Please pray for Bell Chuang, at FEBC Chinese Ministries, who recently moved from the program department into a new role in administration. She'll be taking over various church relations and financial affairs. Please pray that God will grant her wisdom and enable her to quickly adjust to her new responsibilities.

Sunday - 16
"I pray that God will bless you with good health and that His presence will be with you everyday as you serve Him. Because I listen to your broadcast on a daily basis, I grow closer and closer to God and my life has been transformed and my prayers have been answered. I thank God with all my heart for all He has done in my life. I also thank the Nguon Song staff for being a blessing in my life." - Praise from a Vietnamese listener

Monday - 17
A staff member of FEBC's Vietnamese Ministries asks that we "pray for our team in Vietnam as they continue to produce Vietnamese programs. Pray that they'll be effective in promoting the ministries of FEBC/Nguon Song in Vietnam to the thousands of local churches and Christian groups scattered across the country."

Tuesday - 18
From a student in Vietnam: "I am a junior in college... I've received a radio and want to say Ôthank you.' I promise that I will listen to Nguon Song regularly to build up my faith. I will be praying for Nguon Song to continue having the means to help those without radios so that people can hear God's Word. Please pray for my faith and for my family who are currently opposing my faith in Christ. Thank you very much."

Wednesday - 19
Batjargal (Bat) Tuvshintsengel, director of FEBC-Mongolia, writes, "Please pray that we fill find a suitable approach to reach the Mongols in Inner Mongolia with the gospel."

Thursday - 20
Today is FEBC's Day of Prayer. Please pray for the management team, leadership team, and staff at our US headquarters in La Mirada. Pray that God will bring a sense of His blessing, fulfillment, and harmony to each individual as they undertake the work He has called them to in the ministry.

Friday - 21
Chris and Pieta McLean, FEBC-Saipan missionaries, are considering the possibility of relocating their family to the ministry in Manila next year. Chris is a hardware/software developer who has been working on the automation of processes in Saipan. Pray for them and their two small children, and ask God to clearly guide them in this decision.

Saturday - 22
FEBC missionary David Bayliss recently shared this praise: "FEBC-Thailand has a vibrant and productive ministry in a very difficult environment. They broadcast programs on many local stations within Thailand, and also have a wholistic ministry using other methods. I have traveled to Thailand a number of times to help with technical issues, and I always come away encouraged by the staff's dedication and tenacity."

Sunday - 23
Please continue to pray for FEBC-Thailand's director and ministry team. Political instability in this Buddhist nation has been a concern for some time. Pray that the broadcasts will not be affected, as many programs are aired on local radio stations. Pray also for the staff's health and safety.

Monday - 24
A cab driver called the FEBC-Thailand studios with a remarkable story. He found one of their cassette tapes on the ground and was delighted when he played it and heard the song, "Rest in the Lord." He also said, "I want to ask if you have more songs and more programs like this that I can listen to... I will put your radio schedule in my taxi for others to know." Praise God for His amazing sovereignty!

Tuesday - 25
On this Christmas Day, may we each take time amidst all the busyness of our holiday celebrations to worship our Mighty God, Who is our Wonderful Counselor, our Eternal Father, and our Prince of Peace. And may we not forget to pray that the people who walk in darkness will see His great light!

Wednesday - 26
"I began listening to FEBC three years ago. Before, I never thought about God. You opened up an entirely new world for me. I began thinking about God, then started praying. You inspired me to seek God's will for my life, to get to know Him. Today, I am a member of a great church. Thank you for your ministry. I am a child of God because of FEBC." - Praise from Russia

Thursday - 27
Please continue to pray for FEBC Russian Ministries and their staff, and especially for the funds urgently needed to cover electricity costs for the first 6 months of 2008. Also pray for the annual budget needed to continue to air Viktor Kurilenko's program Life, which impacts and inspires thousands of listeners with his messages on the hope and freedom found only in Christ.

Friday - 28
Please pray for Dick and Karen Chase, who have returned to the states after completing their term of service as missionaries with FEBC-Korea. Thank the Lord for the safe travels they have enjoyed as they met with those who have supported them throughout their ministry career--which began in 1970! Also pray for the "reorganization of our lives in the USA," and for a couple who have accepted a 2-year assignment to assist Dr. Billy Kim, the Chases' "former boss."

Saturday - 29
Praise the Lord for this exciting report of answered prayer sent by Dr. Billy Kim in late October: "We have just received the good news that FEBC has been granted a new radio station permit from the federal government for Busan, the second largest city in Korea, with a population of more than four million people. Busan is a stronghold for Buddhism. We will have an opportunity to broadcast the gospel 24 hours a day."

Sunday - 30
Dr. Kim says, "It will take a lot of prayer and funds to build and acquire radio equipment for the new station in Busan, but we are very grateful to the Lord for the open door. Please pray that this new station will soon be on the air, and that many will respond to the message of God's salvation in Christ."

Monday - 31
"FEBC is a special friend to me. I became bankrupt 10 years ago and my friends deserted me. One day while driving I listened to FEBC. At that moment, I started to cry and could not stop. I clearly felt God's compassion and calling. He showed me grace and love through FEBC. After that I decided to accept the Lord. To this day I am still following and have not strayed from Him." - Praise a from listener in Korea
