As Israel was going into the promised land, God gave His people a wonderful promise. “It is a land the Lord your God cares for; the eyes of the Lord your God are continually on it from the beginning of the year to its end” (Deut. 11:12).
The land served as God’s signature upon His covenant with Israel. God would bless the land in order that His people, in turn, would be blessed, “from the beginning of the year to its end.”
Especially because our world is in such turmoil at this time, it is important that we begin praying for special blessing on our land during this first month of the year. Keep in mind as you are praying God’s promise, “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land” (2Chron.7:14).
No amount of legislation, or money, or use of human power will heal our land. It will only be as we pray, that God will bring healing.
Thank you for joining with the FEBC family as we begin this new year humbling ourselves before the Lord, praying and seeking His face. Please pray that the Lord will help us reach even more souls for Christ in 2014. God bless you and have a Happy New Year!
Until all have heard,
