"Mrs. Tanaka's" despair had haunted her for far too long -

Thursday September 24th, 2009

“Mrs. Tanaka’s” despair had haunted her for far too long. Unable to continue, she decided to take her life.

But before she did, she wanted to meet the one person who had offered her any level of joy. And that person was Keiko, an FEBC broadcaster who Mrs. Tanaka listened to every day on the radio. Her gentle voice was the only comfort Mrs. Tanaka had known for a long time.

A couple of days later, a letter to Keiko arrived in the mail.

Suicide Averted

“I had made up my mind to take my life,” Mrs. Tanaka wrote. “But when I visited, you were so kind. Meeting you encouraged me and I’ve decided there are things worth living for. Thank you so much for taking the time to talk to me and pray for me that day.”

After that meeting, Mrs. Tanaka continued to listen to Keiko’s broadcast, visit the studio, and financially support the ministry. God literally used FEBC and Keiko to save her life!
