Heartline Academy Staff Member Says, "My Dream to Reach the World for Christ Has Come True!"

FEBC recently caught up with Sasongko Adiyono, a staff member of FEBC-Indonesia's Heartline Academy of Media, to learn more about his journey to FEBC. 

FEBC:  What brought you to FEBC?  

SA:  I used to listen faithfully to the radio, which inspired me to reach the world by radio. But I had no idea how to accomplish this, so I was quite excited when I read about FEBC's radio training program. 

Fortunately, they offered me a scholarship when they saw my great desire to learn, because I didn't have the means to pay for it myself. When they later offered me a position, I regrettably had to turn it down since I was committed to another job.

FEBC: Yet, you finally joined FEBC.

SA:  Yes. I felt strongly about having a job that honored God and I prayed about it. Praise the Lord, FEBC called me again in early 2008, and I'm now on staff.

FEBC:  What do you enjoy most about your job?

SA: Training future broadcasters. I see it as an opportunity to transform the community. Jesus said in the parable of the sower, "One person plants and someone else harvests." I see myself as a planter, cultivating the hearts of future broadcasters who may one day share the message of Christ. 

FEBC:  What prepared you the most to become a broadcaster?

SA:  The hands-on training I received from Heartline Academy. It's excellent! I'm grateful my broadcasts are now blessing others throughout Indonesia. My dream to reach the world for Christ has come true!
