Who's Listening in Mongolia FEBC began broadcasting by short wave to Mongolia from our transmitter site on Saipan in 1994. With encouragement by local Christian leaders in the capital of Ulaan Baatar, FEBC established a local station, WIND-FM, in December 2000. In just a few years, WIND-FM has been marked by the government of Mongolia as one of two high standard professional radio stations. A media survey in 2002 indicated that WIND-FM has about 200,000 listeners - a remarkable number for a Christianity-based radio station in a country where 15 years ago there were less than 20 Christians.
