Charidi shared this story with us: “I was born into a Kejawen family (Kejawen is a Javanese local mystical movement). During meditation one day I dreamt I met Jesus. He spoke but I did not see Him. I felt like I was in an empty space. The second time I meditated I heard Christ speak to me. He said, ‘If you believe in Buddha, practice Buddhism, but if you believe in Christ hold dear to Him.’ From that point on, I kept thinking how can I know more about Jesus when I live in a Kejawen community. Who will I ask about Jesus?
One night I found a radio program on Heartline FM that taught from the Bible. I sent a short message to Heartline FM, and Rev. Epi offered me some guidance and Bible verses to consider. Now I am attending Sunday services in Rev. Epi’s church. I want to know more about Jesus.”
