“I’m 49 years old, but when I was little, Sunday School classes were held at my house. I’ve been familiar with the Bible since I was 7. The hymn my late grandmother used to sing to me…’What a friend we have in Jesus’…remains deep in my heart.

“But for years my life has been far from the Christian model; 40 years have passed since I’ve been involved in Christianity except during ceremonial occasions.

“Last year I was involved in an accident and was hospitalized for 6 months. I was miserable, wondering why I had to endure such a trial. I was depressed for days and did not want to talk to anyone.

“One night while I was listening to FEBC, I heard the Lord’s Prayer. It was as if I was hearing the voice of God. The words ‘Forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors’ and ‘Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil’ ran through my mind. I was wrapped in inexpressible emotion. Thoughts of how I had lived my life flashed in front of my eyes.

“After that, I started to read the Bible little by little, and am now learning how to live. I’m thankful to be relearning the things I once learned in Sunday School through FEBC’s Internet broadcasts.”
