Aleda & Vaughan Hagberg

The Hagbergs joined FEBC in 1992 and spent their first 2 years on Saipan, where Vaughan served as a broadcast engineer for KSAI. Since 1994 they have lived in the Philippines, where Vaughan provides computer and network support for FEBC.

He also hosts short-term computer tech teams and oversees the sound board for his church. "My work is fulfilling because I'm using my skills for the Lord, " Vaughan said.

Aleda juggles the activities of a busy family with substitute teaching at Faith Academy, assisting FERDS with outreach projects, and coaching a track and field team at her children's school. She is also involved with an annual Christmas outreach to families living in Manila's dumpsites.

Aleda finds great joy in being involved in a ministry that reaches people living in remote areas. Flying over Burma recently, she was struck by the inaccessibility of mountainous areas, yet 80% of Burmese listen to FEBC, including those who live in remote areas. "Radio waves are not limited by difficult terrain, and God's Word can reach people through FEBC broadcasts," Aleda pointed out.
